The research phase of the fourth QLA edition has started with nature enthusiasts undertaking over 110 projects at quarries across 25 participating countries. Many participants visited "their" quarry for the first time and will update you with their blogs about the research.

By 1 December 2017, the Quarry Life Award juries of each national contest selected more than 110 projects worldwide to enter the competition. All contestants will carry out their project ideas during the January to September research period, and the selected projects will compete simultaneously at national and international levels. Some participants already visited the sites for the first time and started the reserach.

The "project update" blogs opened on January 15th and the participants will write news on a regular basis to provide information about their research. We are sure the blogs will make all our readers even more excited about the QLA and biodiversity.
