Start of work.
After the location phase, the willows and the crookers have been removed to put the medium into light.
Once done, the two ponds have been dug. The Yellow-bellied toad appreciates shallow habitats that warm up quickly. The first results from soil stripping (30 cm ) and the second, adjacent, reaches a maximum depth of one meter with a bottom of 50 cm. The ponds have very soft slopes to facilitate access to amphibians..
Finally, to complete the whole, ruts were created around the ponds to diversify the habitats on the site. There remains only a vegetation...It should come back from itself.
It does not miss any more than the Yellow-bellied toad hoped from this summer...?
