The Yellow-bellied toad reproduction season started.
The toads go to their breeding habitats. To attract females, males start to sing. They emit a serious sound composed of a single note, at the origin of its name.
This is an opportunity to spot them and check whether they have colonized the new environments created in their favor.
The first night, noYellow-bellied toad was seen or heard on the site. However all toads are not yet anchored on their habitats. Many individuals are still in dispersion.
Research continues.
